Oščadnica is one of the most significant centres of summer and winter tourism in Slovakia. The Veľká Rača Ski Resort is near Oščadnica. All fans of skiing and hiking, regardless of whether they are beginners or professionals, can find their place here amongst the beautiful nature.
Veľká Rača Ski Resort
The Snowparadise Veľká Rača Oščadnica ski centre sis located in Kysuce, in the mountains of Kysucké Beskydy. The locality is near the border with the Czech Republic and Poland, the access to the ski resort is easy and it is maintained during winter.
Both beginners and most demanding skiers can enjoy skiing here. You can rent a ski-fox, go on a ride on the bobsled run and you can also ski at night. The offer of services is wide – there are skiing schools as well as a skiing pre-school, ski service, ski depository and a ski shop where you can buy all kinds of sports equipment.
The ski resort has three centres: DEDOVKA, MARGUŠKA and LALIKY which provide mountain transportation for passengers, including two 4-seat and one 6-seat cableway in combination with 8-seat cabins with the total transportation capacity of 9,700 people per hour, regularly maintained ski slopes in the length of 14 km and cross-country ski trails on the Health Trail, which are 1 km, 3 km and 5 km long. The Ski Rescue Service, which is at a very high professional level, operates in the resort.
Most of the ski slopes are treated with a high-quality technical snow.
Transport
SKI BUS STOP 50 m FROM THE BUILDING.
If you are coming by car, you can park your car at the central car parks in the Dedovka Ski Centre by the 4-seat cableway or at the Laliky Ski Centre by the 6-seat Telemix cableway. When the central car parks are full, you can use the eight extra car parks.

Accommodation in Apartments
The modern apartments are located in an apartment house in the centre of Oščadnica, 4 km away from the Dedovka and Laliky ski centres (the ski bus stop is 50 m from the building). The apartment includes 2 bedrooms, en suite bathroom (shower, WC and washbasin), completely equipped kitchen (refrigerator, electric cooker, kitchen unit, electric kettle, microwave oven) with a common room that includes 2 extra beds, radio, TV + SAT.
There is a lockable ski depository at your disposal.
